Mission and goals

In Europe, in the last few years, with the economic sustainability and the spread of the liberal doctrine, the traditional "welfare state" model is going through a critical period and some new philosophies have been introduced to protect indivual rights and values associating them with those of the community where they reside. The ideas of horizontal and vertical subsidiarity or of federalism (in a political framework) and of "welfare community" are developing a san answer to the needs of the Person and of the Society. From this perspective, Farmafactoring has already engaged itself in a concrete and innovative way, with research and cognitive contributions on business management models and control for Public Administration and on structures, subsidiarity and governance of the European Health-care Systems. In 1993, in fact, Farmafactoring founded a working group in order to identify the financial needs of health-care companies, with the aim of monitoring in a more professional way the development of the reference market. The Ministry of Health , the Ministry of Economy, the Court of Auditors, the Istat (State Statistic Institute), the Italian Banking Association, the Regions, the Health-care Companies, the Agency for Regional Health-care Services and the Bocconi University all were part of this working group. Farmafactoring Foundation was founded in 2004 with the objective of assembling in a single entity, cultural and planning activities already started by Farmafactoring in order to improve and to develop them through staff commitment and a solid structure. In accordance with the art.2 of the Statute, the mission of Farmafactoring Foundation is to ".....promote a circuit of knowledge and operative approaches for the development of the civil society with reference to scientific and economic communities".
